Rover P4 Condition Assessment Form

This is a small copy of the P4 condition assessment form that I have designed.
It can be used for planning restoration work, or accurately describing the condition of cars for sale.
By clicking on the small form you can download the full size form, which you can then print out and use. It is quite a large file and will take about 10 times as long to download as the small one did. Once the image has downloaded you can save it to disc so you don't need to download it in the future. If you are using windows you can do this by right clicking on the full size picture, and selecting save picture as.

assessment form

The first part deals with the condition of the body and chassis of the car. There are two side views.
The doors are shown separately to reveal the central pillar and "running boards".
The dotted lines show the areas behind the wings. There is also a view looking into the boot, and a view of the chassis.

Circle or shade in:
Areas that are severely rusty or have rusted away - label with the letter R
Areas where temporary repairs with fiberglass etc. have been made - label with the letter T
Areas where durable welded repairs have been made - label with the letter W
Areas that are missing - label with the letter M

Don't forget to look in the corners of the boot and inside the front and rear wings.
If you think an area may collapse in a pile of rust when you poke it..... then don't poke it.... Even if there's only a mass of rust preventing mud and water getting somewhere it shouldn't, this is better than nothing!

There is also a multiple choice part, dealing with other aspects of the car.
You may not know the answer some of the questions because the car is not in a useable state, in which case tick "Don't know".
If you can't answer a question because the item has been removed from the car tick "Missing".

I am going to try and get the clubs interested in conducting a survey of all the remaining P4s based on this form or a variant of it. In the meantime feel free to use it as you see fit....
